Their fledgling colonies could barely maintain a small fleet to counter the aggression. But due to the unpredictable weather along the eastern seaboard and in the Caribbean, the British Navy suffered catastrophic losses. This class is designed to give the prospective Appalachian Trail (AT) hiker and backpacker a solid foundation for planning a trip on the trail. We'll teach you the logistics behind a hiking or backpacking trip. We'll focus on trip planning skills for: day hikes, section hikes, and thru hikers. Learn some basic resources and tips to get you started on your trip planning.

Unleash the creatures of the night with Eric Bornstein from Behind the Mask Studio! He’ll be teaching attendees how to use simple materials and found objects to make their own terrifying Halloween masks. This is the fourth of our Make It! program series focusing on art and creativity.

The first hour of our Jazz Show & Jam is a concert featuring a host band which varies each week. It includes some of the finest musicians from the area and often featuring great players from NYC and beyond. After the first hour, we open it up to the jammers who get the opportunity to sit in and hone their skills, trading licks with some of the finest players in the area. Some of the best jazz can be heard here any Tuesday night! Come watch or play!!
About the Jam:
The jam balances high level playing with a spirit of welcome and community. Five host bands take turns making your visit to the jam a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Each week a different group and each week a different feel. Here you can hone your skills and trade lick’s with some of the finest players in the area. Whether you’re a pro or a student, you’ll have a great time.
