Framingham Centre
Framingham Centre is Framingham’s historic area and home to Framingham State University. The old Framingham Green at the intersection of Worcester Road (Route 9), the original highway linking Boston to Worcester, and Edgell Road, one of Framingham's critical north-south routes, marks the center of this community. Surrounded by historic buildings, this was the town's civic center until the new town hall was built in 1928 in Downtown Framingham. Most notably, in addition to being the home of Framingham State University, the Centre is the home the Framingham History Center and Danforth Art, and the Framingham Technology Park, where many of Framingham's larger corporations are located.
